Topic: Knowledge
- My search for the TRUTH
2, My desire to exchange routine religion for an intimate relationship with Jesus
- My prayer asking God to lead me by His Spirit and take my little bit of faith and trust and multiply it
Scripture: Proverbs 2:1-5, John 5:39-40, Ephesians 4:14-21, 2 Thessalonians 2:16, Proverbs 29:25, Matthew 11:28-30, 1 Corinthians 15:19, Mark 12:30-31, Philippians 4:7, John 8:32
Tools: Study sheet from session 6, The Bible Study Map for Women, THRIVE: A Journaling Devotional Bible for Women, A Sudden Glory by Sharon Jaynes, Hope for Each Day; Words of Wisdom and Faith by Billy Graham, Stormie Omartian’s Flip Calendar, Biblehub.com, Re-Energize Your Life by Rick Warren, The song: FAITH by Dolly Parton/Galantis
My Response to the Scripture above: If the knowledge I gain studying the WORD does not move me closer to Jesus then I’ve missed what God wants for me.
What this means to my faith: The knowledge I gain studying the WORD is a tool to move me to worship and know Our Father. Knowledge of the WORD equips me to recognize and be obedient to God’s call to share Jesus each day. Knowledge raises my expectations of what GOD wants for me.
How it applies to my daily life: I have a hunger for more of GOD’s presence daily and anticipate the great things GOD desires for me to Glorify Him!
My thoughts on the topic of Knowledge: 1. My prayers should be a balance of my adoration of Who God is and my gratitude of what HE desires for me.
- Knowledge should be an expression of my love for God and devotion to HIS will
Questions I have for digging deeper into scripture:
What am I willing to GIVE UP or GIVE to know the heart of God?
Why do I study scripture?
Am I interested in what God knows?
Will I share what I know to be TRUTH with others?
