Tried and True | Week 1 | John 18

In John 18, Jesus remains faithful to his mission while those around him struggle to recognize the truth. Their responses invite us to examine our own expectations, self-reliance, religious habits, and fear of others’ opinions. We can know the right answers and still miss the relationship Jesus offers. He willingly takes the burden of sin that we cannot remove through effort or outward observance. His grace gives us a new foundation for living. As we turn to him, remember what he has done, and yield our plans to his will, we can rediscover the joy of following him and trust him with what we hold tightly.
