The Way | Week 1 | Matthew 2:1-12

Waiting can feel especially heavy when everyone around us seems ready to celebrate. In Matthew 2:1–12, the wise men worship Jesus as King while Herod sees a threat to his control. Justin invites us to welcome the King who has made a way back to God and promises to return to make all things new. Even while we grieve and wait, Jesus is with us, and his endurance at the cross shows us how to keep going. We can bring our struggles to him in prayer, receive support from others, and fix our eyes on his faithful presence, finding hope without pretending that our pain has disappeared.
