The Letters | Week 7 | Revelation 3:14-22
June 13, 2015
In Revelation 3:14–22, Jesus confronts the church in Laodicea with a need their comfort and wealth have hidden. They believe they have enough, but their self-reliance has left them spiritually poor and halfhearted. Jesus speaks with love, calling them to repent and receive what only he can give. His invitation challenges us to examine what we are holding tightly, from our relationships and work to our hopes for the future. We can trust the goodness revealed at the cross and welcome his correction. As we receive his love, we can surrender our burdens again and take the next step of faith he places before us.
