Division can grow quietly when we stop putting love into practice. In Ezekiel 22:30, God searches for someone to stand in the gap for the land. In this week’s message, Butch calls the church to pray for unity and cultivate the love that holds Christ’s body together. Through the Holy Spirit, believers already have the love they are called to exercise. As we put aside old patterns of anger, pride, and selfishness, we can choose gentleness, respond with kindness, and reach across the barriers between us. By praying for other churches and loving the people before us, we can help build up the body of Christ.
