Scandalous | Week 3 | Mark 2:23–28, Mark 3:1-6
February 25, 2017

We can go through the motions of church and still feel empty inside. In Mark 2:23–28 and 3:1–6, Jesus challenges religious judgment and restores a man whose hand is withered. Pastor Jeremy invites us to exchange outward appearances for a living relationship with Christ, who gives rest and changes us from within. We cannot earn our way to God; Jesus has paid the penalty for our sin. As we honestly bring him our need, pursue him through Scripture, and surrender our pride, we can learn to walk alongside struggling people with compassion and share the hope of Jesus in the places we go every day.
