When the world feels divided, it can be tempting to retreat into what feels familiar and safe. In Luke 4:14–30, Jesus announces good news, freedom, and God’s favor, then challenges his hometown’s expectations by pointing to God’s care for outsiders. This message invites us to remember our own need for grace and trust the Savior who paid our debt of sin. Through the Holy Spirit, God empowers his people to carry that hope beyond comfortable circles. Today, we can notice those who are hurting, welcome people different from us, and walk alongside them with compassion, trusting God to change hearts as we share the good news.
