God Gave | Week 1 | John 1:1-51

In John 1, God gives us the greatest gift by giving us himself in Jesus. The eternal Word becomes flesh, revealing the Father’s grace and truth and welcoming those who believe into his family. Our identity can rest in the God who never changes, rather than in our achievements or circumstances. Like John the Baptist, we recognize that we need a Savior and point others toward the Lamb of God. As we lay aside our own agendas, receive Christ’s transforming work, and invite others to know him, our lives become a witness to his goodness. Following Jesus begins with taking the next step he places before us.
