Game Time | Week 3 | Jeremiah 2
January 24, 2015

In Jeremiah 2, God confronts a people who have exchanged their devotion to him for things that cannot sustain them. The image of broken cisterns exposes our own search for satisfaction in blessings, achievements, and relationships while neglecting the One who gives life. We are invited to remember God’s faithfulness, examine what has captured our hearts, and turn back to him. Repentance is a continuing direction of life, shaped by the grace we receive through Jesus. We cannot wash away our guilt through our own efforts, but Christ has made a way for us to draw near and seek our deepest satisfaction in God.
