Framework | Week 1 | Matthew 9:9-13

Jesus calls Matthew while he is still sitting at the tax collector’s booth, showing that grace reaches us before we have our lives together. Brandon Williams opens the Framework series by tracing how Jesus initiates a relationship, gives us a new identity, and redeems our past for his purposes. His invitation to follow requires daily surrender, obedience, and dependence on the Holy Spirit. Through Jesus’ meal with tax collectors and sinners, the message challenges religious pride and calls the church to welcome people who need healing. We all need the physician, and following him means extending his mercy and love to others.
