Faith and Fear | Week 3 | 1 Samuel 17:32-37
May 27, 2017

Fear can shake our confidence even when we want to trust God. In 1 Samuel 17:32–37, David remembers how the Lord rescued him from the lion and the bear, giving him courage to face Goliath. This message invites us to remember God’s faithfulness and answer discouraging thoughts with the truth of who we are in him. The cross and resurrection remind us that his goodness reaches beyond what we can see in a difficult moment. As we bring our questions to our loving Father and seek prayer with others, we can keep trusting his care and take the next step, even while fear remains.
