Church Talk | Saved | Romans 5:8-10
October 16, 2010

Brandon Williams explains salvation as being spared from God’s judgment through trust in Jesus’ past, present and future work. Beginning with Romans 5:8–10, he describes forgiveness, life with God now and the hope of renewed creation. Zacchaeus’s encounter with Jesus prompts three questions: Have you met Christ, chosen to follow him and experienced a changed life? Brandon challenges listeners to move beyond a prayer or religious appearance into a living relationship. Following Jesus means joining God’s work, stepping beyond comfort and surrendering selfish desires. Through Christ’s resurrection, believers can share his victory and find joy even in difficult circumstances while helping others come to know him.
