The people closest to us can feel the weight of our words most deeply. Beginning in Genesis 1:27–28, this message explores how our identity and purpose in God shape marriage and every relationship. Sin brings brokenness, insecurity, and shame, but Christ gives believers a new identity and a changed heart. As Jesus teaches, our mouths reveal what fills our hearts. We’re invited to notice where we’ve taken a spouse for granted, release bitterness, and extend the grace we’ve received. Rather than using another person’s wounds against them, we can choose words that build them up, drawing close to Jesus and welcoming others to walk with us.
