It’s easy to slip into going through the motions, even in our faith. In 1 Thessalonians 5:1–11, Paul calls believers to live awake and ready for Jesus’ return, whose timing remains unknown. This message takes the coming judgment seriously while reminding us that Christ bore sin’s punishment and gives salvation to those who trust him. Our security rests in his finished work, and gratitude for that grace moves us to follow him. We’re invited to live as children of light, strengthened by faith, love, and hope. Receive his forgiveness, surrender what holds you back, and encourage others as you pursue Jesus in the ordinary moments of each day.
