Behind Enemy Lines | Week 7 | 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
February 13, 2016

When life feels overwhelming, hope can seem difficult to hold onto. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18, Paul comforts believers who are grieving by pointing them to Jesus’ death, resurrection, and promised return. Those who belong to Christ will be raised to life and remain with him forever. This message invites us to place our deepest hope in that promise, even when relationships, health, or circumstances disappoint us. The assurance of God’s presence gives us reason to keep going through real sorrow and uncertainty. Consider where you’ve been looking for security, turn your heart toward Jesus, and let others pray with you as you encourage one another in this lasting hope.
